What is your favorite food?
I love Bacon Cheeseburgers. I also love Tacos and Hot Wings. But I am not sure what is my favorite, I know there is a type of food I am forgetting.

Great Middle Eastern cuisine, and not expensive!

There's some good Indian and Thai food here too.

Damn...now I'm hungry. :-(

16. Sure. And we can't forget Ted's on Congress.
Best lamb and green beans ever. And baklava (sic) dessert.

21. It's gotta be near 5th or 6th or 7th.
On the east side of the street. I just did a google search but couldn't find it. Nada.

It's not fancy at all, and is right at street level.

Maybe it's not there any more?

That would be too bad. My brother, who works downtown for the city, used to eat there all the time. I've eaten there at least 3 or 4 times, but not in awhile. I'm sure I've got the name correct, unless I'm not using the official name.

Damn. I'll pester my bro for more info.

23. There were some businesses that had to shut down recently.
I think a building around there was "going condo" or some such thing. Not sure if Ted's was a victim, but I know an appliance store was. I looked for it too, but web search was fruitless.

Hmmm...seems a shame, though.

I'll have to buy you the chicken shawerma/gyro plate at Pyramid's to assuage your sense of loss. Served with salad, rice and hummus. Good stuff. :9

14. Mangia makes a good deep dish, too.
When I visited Chicago, and hung out with the DU crowd, we went to 3 pizza establishments: Gino's, Uno and Giordano's. Giordano's won the taste test. Plus, our waiter was f-ing cool as hell! :D

28. Schweinshax'n
It's hard to get fresh ham hocks in the US--most of them are smoked--but if you can get a good fresh one, roast it up and eat it with garlic mashed potatoes and a litre of beer.
