Need a gift idea for my 13 yr old niece

She's picky and used to be spoiled until her dad lost his job earlier this year. I want to get her a gift certificate to some store (she's definitely NOT into books) Any ideas?

1. Gift cards work best...

How about Target -- she can get a CD or whatever else she may want. Or, if you don't have a Target, a generic mall one will work -- they she can spend it at any store she wants.

One year, when my nephews were going through a spoiled brat phase, I gave $$ to the Red Cross in their name. The card had a note about how much others needed the $$ etc. They were a bit shocked, but surprisingly gracious about it.

2. Is there a Claire's Accessories at a nearby mall?

I loved that place when I was a teen. All sorts of inexpensive trendy jewelry and hair stuff. :).

3. Gift certificate to Claire's. It's a jewelry and accessory store geared

to the 10 to 20 year old, and they run these "awesome" sales, 20 for $10...They are found in malls across america. Gift certificates for Claire's or its other name The Icing are interchangeable. She'll love you forever if she's into "image". :hi:
