GAHH...my roomate invited his girlfriend to move in without even asking me
Im so furious right now I'm not even sure what I should do. First of all, I hate the girl, and shes already here all the time, even when hes not around...she literally sits around all day waiting for him to come home. And now I find out that shes moving in!!!

Im not the name on the lease, so theres not much I can do about it, but its the rudest thing anyones ever done to me, and now im plotting my revenge...

And to top it all off, shes married(separated) but her hubby is a stalker type whos already been calling harrassing people, so i'll probably have to deal with that too.

Any suggestions as to how to handle this? I want to move out, but can't afford to for a few months at least. I'm going to go batshit insane.

2. Oh, how horrible that is!
You have my complete sympathies!

Is there something in the lease that could allow you to escape?

It sounds bad enough to me that it might just be worthwhile to leave and face the financial consequences.....

Good Luck!

:hi:

4. Have you tried talking to roomate? That's the only think I can suggest
due to the fact that you are not on the lease. Do you have any friends or relatives that might be able to put you up until you can find a place of your own? Sadly, that's the best I can suggest. Other than that, get a can of mace, have 911 on speed dial, and get the heck out as soon as you can.

6. What he said
The minute I read 'stalker' the bells went off. Do not stay around for that scene.

9. I agree with your friend except
According to the OP, this woman is still the man's wife. That can be nasty.

he is in dire need of an ass-kicking - and so is his girlfriend. However, due to the holiday rush I am booked until 2006. :7

8. You have to find a way to move out
I'll tell ya this, they will drive you crazy on purpose because they want ot play house. The stalker thing is not a good thing to be around and you will no doubt be stuck in the middle.
Good luck on this. I hope you find a new place and fast.

10. Kill them both
it's the only way.

Happened to me once. I wish I had done that instead of trying to be "The Nice Guy"TM.

In the long run, I would have been punished less for killing them.

11. Hit the road jack and dontcha come back no more
You don't need that.

And your roomie needs a lobotomy for thinking of shacking up with a still-married woman with a stalker husband.

12. This is a very bad situation.

Here is what I foresee:

The roommate/girlfriend combo will try to use you as a "buffer," since you are a "neutral" party.

The stalker will NOT see you as a "neutral" party. No, not at all. The stalker will see YOU as the guy who is home alone with his wife when her boyfriend is at work.

See where I'm headed with this?

Get out. ASAP.

Good luck.

13. P.S. With respect to the expense.

Maybe you can work out an arrangement in which the roommate and/or girlfriend can take over your share of the rent so you can rent elsewhere. After all, if he really wants her there, and she really wants to be there, then between them they should be able to come up with her share.

Get it in writing, though. And make sure the person whose name is on the lease knows about it.

Again, good luck.
