Got the 40 Year Old Virgin DVD--I swear there isn't an unfunny minute in the movie, sigh....

3. Still playing in some theaters... I recommend going there to see it with
friends.

DVD has the theater version and the "Unrated" version which is 17 min longer.

I got the "Unrated" just because I came across it first. In general I prefer to just have the original theater version, with extra scenes available. Often times things were cut out because they needed to be to make the editing tighter and the movie flow better.

I love this movie so much I'll probably buy the "rated" DVD also.

7. Really good little comedy
I thoroughly enjoyed it when I rented it the other day. Our DVD release had something like 12 minutes added into the film and I didn't particularly feel it sagged as a result. The deleted scenes (which must have been another 20-30 minutes) are actually, on the whole, genuinely funny as well.

10. Watching that movie was the best part of last weekend.
Twenty years ago no one would have predicted I would watch "40-Year-Old Virgin" with my 15-year-old son, but by the time the fourth kid is a teen the parenting style has relaxed a bit. I laughed so hard I snorted, which surprised us both.

I remember going to the theater and watching Blazing Saddles with my parents and being just enthralled with my dad laughing at the campfire scene. I didn't know he could laugh so hard. Chris probably will remember me and my hysterical hyena behavior in the same way. Amazing how raunchy humor can become such a warm fuzzy Kodak Moment.

11. What I liked, aside from all the raunchy humor, is that the characters
were all really good, I thought. I admit the Pakistani guys at the store were caricatures, but I thought the essence of friendship among young men (even though Andy is 40) is captured well.

I also liked the creepy boss lady, that character was just inspired... I think some of her dialogue was improvised... she did an AWESOME job.

12. I love her, even though I can't remember her name.
I usually get tickled as soon as I see her as I know her characterization will be both quirky and perfect. I have a co-worker who reminds me of her character in Best in Show.

I thought the movie was very sweet, and I have dropped hints that I would like it for Christmas. If I don't get it, I'm buying it myself. The interaction between those guys definitely is what makes it a keeper.

14. Jane Lynch, loved her in "Best In Show" also.

It's funny... I wouldn't generally apply the description "sweet" to a comedy featuring jokes about butthole pleasures and giant boxes of pornography, but I have to agree, it is sweet... those who don't understand just need to catch this movie.
