Gingerbread House Construction
I am going to enter a contest at my Culinary College and I am trying to find out about templates and how to make one from a picture. All weekend long I have been at College helping the pastry dept make Gingerbread Houses and it's exhausting and fun. I need to find out about templates and how to construct a house out of a design from the 50's. Anyone ever made a Gingerbread house and created a template on their own?

1. No and kids love them and they really look hard to do.
Some look great and some are very poor. I used to buy them amd may buy one this year since you have put them in my mind.Good luck.

6. I use to buy them also
I made so much gingerbread dough that I thought up a creation of my own for the contest.

2. Yeah, I do it every year. It's actually pretty easy.
You need some logic and math skills. I'm a little pressed for time just now, but pm me and I'll send you some stuff later in the day.

4. I made a depot with an old timey train once...
everyone loved it. You just have to think three-dimensionally--don't be afraid to try things because if you screw up, gingerbread and icing are very forgiving. Good luck :-)

5. I made 60 pounds of royal icing yesterday
I was so exhausted afterwords that I literally fell down in my chair when I got home. Thanks, I like to make things that other people would never dream of making.
