Confession - this card made me blubber like an idiot
My daughter is getting married next June - she's almost 24. I found this card and though i don't usually fall for the Hallmark sentiments, it hit me like a ton of bricks. This is the cover -

Inside it says, "How you look to your parents on your wedding day."

God, this whole thing is reducing me to jello!

2. Every wedding I've ever been at when they begin playing
"Sunrise, Sunset", reduces me to buckets of tears.

4. She sent me a photo of her trying on her wedding gown
I was a basket case all day. I keep seeing her the day she graduated from Kindergarten. And yes, Sunrise, Sunset keeps running through my mind.

I'm so happy for her and so proud of her and so wistful that she's all grown up.

8. Yep, agree about the song. It's brought me to tears many a time.
I just found a cassette tape of "Fiddler" and will be playing it today when I go to the gym...

3. Aww. That's beautiful. I don't blame you. My MIL gave us one on
our wedding day that was a painting of a medieval prince holding his hand out to his bride...it made me all mushy and romantic inside. Sometimes the right card does say enough.

6. Hi Skygazer!!
What a sweet picture! I can see why it would hit you in the heartstrings. It's a big deal to watch your kid grow up and get married. I can only imagine....
You'll be the Mother of the Bride. The big question is: What are YOU gonna wear???? :)

:loveya:

7. Skygazer, have a great time preparing for your daughter's wedding!
I've done it twice, once for a son and once for a daughter. These were amazing experiences and I hope you enjoy yours! The card and the kids are adorable!

9. Hey, Shine!
I HAVE to find something - I haven't even really looked. She wants all the mothers to wear some shade of red which is great because it's my favorite color on me (green's my favorite color but red goes with my coloring). I've been meaning to go shopping figuring there'd be a lot out there in red right now what with the holidays but I've just been unable to get off my duff and go.

I'm glad hubby's party was success, by the way. I'll get that photo posted soon - probably tomorrow. I need to edit a bit. :hi:

Good choice. Have fun!

Send me a PM if you post the pix, OK? Thanks. I don't want to miss it.

xo,
Shine
