4. He once said on his show that he wanted to get a heart shaped tattoo...
With "George W. Bush" inside it, or something along those lines. Such a douche.

10. Photoshop Elements 3.0
for Mac OS X Tiger. If I had CS2 I could REALLY do some cool things... I don't know what they would be, but I'd love to have some more tools. I guess I work pretty well with my limitations, in regard to my software as well as my messed up brain. :D

11. For a scaled down version of Photoshop
I am very impressed with how robust Elements is!

:woohoo:

Have you considered publishing your work in a book?

12. I might do that someday.
I doubt if many will buy it.

Anyway, what I do requires light behind it. I don't know if I could get that effect in print unless it was super hi-res on Kodak film/paper. Maybe I will print a few books myself on a laser printer, sign them and sell them to the highest bidder... from Guantanamo. :D

18. If you set your RGB to CMYK conversion properly,
you should be able to reproduce your work quite well. I don't know how Elements handles color spaces, but it can't be too different from the full Photoshop.

21. Elements removes CMYK support..
That is the main difference between the two. And Elements adds a shitty UI. At least on the Windows version.

I have just fallen in love with your use of color, light, and design. You are an artist, and a mighty fine one at that, imo.

24. You called me an "artist!"
:woohoo: Actually, I'm a musician, but thanks a LOT! :D My mother is a professional artist (as was her mother and grandmother), and has been painting longer than I've been alive. I spent many years as a child painting, throwing pots and doing Raku fired pottery, batik, tye-dye, drawing, collage etc. I wasn't really great at any of it (or interested enough?), so I therefore pursued music. Now, I am becoming more interested in the visual arts again, especially digital art - I like how I can work with light that comes from behind and THROUGH the images in multiple layers.

Here's my gallery:

I just finished this one:

27. Wow, more great art to look at. Thanks.
I especially think your soldier crying (Bring Our Troops Home) one is touching. I think about that one a lot even when I am not on DU. There is no telling what that soldier has been through. My heart aches for him.

You have a great sense of style with this digital art. I hope you can keep doing it.

19. I think the text would work better without the layer style
Flat text has a more sophisticated feel, IMHO.

13. It's all smoke and mirrors.
Typical Republican reactions to the truth; ignore the facts and pretend things are going their way. It's like fantasy football, except that people die.

I know that our being upset is in direct proportion to our attachments and expectations. The Buddha says that the fruit of one's lies is that people come to no longer believe them whether in this life or in lives to come. I'm sorry you slipped out of your space of caring and are now suffering.
