Am finally in the holiday mood - here is what happened...
Each year it is getting more difficult to celebrate during the season my dear husband died. It takes finding the "perfect" gift no matter how small for someone I love to jump start me into the giving spirit. Then others fall into place.
This year seemed hopeless ---- and then----was looking for a book for a dionsaur crazy nephew and found --
Encyclopedia Prehistorica Dinosaurs - a popup book by Sabuda and Reinhart.
I was not familiar with their books - and when I saw it I went nuts. Fully articulated, multi dimensional dinosaurs jump out from each page with scientifically accurate information presented in a fun way.
Joy coursed through me and it was infectious to all around. Bingo! I know someone on my list will be ecstatic.
If you have kids on your list -- check these out. Simply fantastic. The Wizard of Oz one has a tornado spinning out at you on the first page. The detail is unbelievable. The price is a bit over $25, but with discounts is worth it. Haven't checked bookfinder.com to see if used ones if past titles are available.
So now I am in the mood despite all the Bush Crap and the horrific state of the world due to him and his minions. I WILL NOT let him destroy this season.
So get busy and get happy and laugh in his chimpy face.
I showed the book to like minded friends and they went nuts as well. It was my gift to them and they really appreciated it for their own children in their families. Many times, my "gifts" to others are ideas for them. Cheap -- and so much fun.
