"The West Wing" and Janeane Garofalo
I don't watch the show. Does it look like Janeane Garofalo's character will probably be on all season?

1. She plays a campaign consultant so
based on the story line and the fact that she was done filming at the end of September I would guess that her character will be gone after the election. But I don't know when that is.

2. Do you think the election might be a season-ending cliffhanger
in which the result is revealed in the next season premiere?

13. I think I heard that the election episodes will air in March.
So, I don't think that we have to worry about an election cliffhanger. Plus, this is by all accounts the last season. Ratings are way down, and the show's too expensive to produce with the current budget.

Don't know what they're going to do about John Spencer/Leo. It's going to be hard watching the show for the next several weeks.

3. They are going to have to write Leo out of it now with John Spencer
gone. They are going to have to have him die of a another heart attack, I'm sure. My wife and I were discussing who they should bring in as a replacement VP candidate; we came up with the possibility of having Sam Seaborn come in and take over the spot.

10. Um...wrong Brat Packer.
Sam Seaborn was played by Rob Lowe; Lowe thought leaving a spectacularly successful TV show and a substantial paycheck would be a good idea, but only if he could go on to two failed series and treacly Christmas movie glop.

He'd probably break down John Wells' door for the chance to return to "The West Wing".
