Xmas lights on neighbor's roof spell out an OBSCENE message!

Last year, their roof had red and green lights saying: NOEL

This year, their roof reads: F--- W

(The "f" word is not spelled out... just dashes in lights, as above...)

If you're in the Portland, Oregon area, Scholls Ferry Road near Allen Blvd. or Denny Road in Beaverton. No kiddin'!

I'll try to take a photo of it tomorrow night if I can with our new camera.

Seattle Girl, do you have some "underground" kind of weekly newspaper with an email address?

We've got the Willamette Week here and I'm going to send it to them tomorrow.

I know I've read articles in a half-size Seattle weekly alternative newspaper that lists all kinds of information --events, movies, performance. Maybe you can get this information to me.

I'm sure there are some editors who might want to use this photo during the coming week while we are in the current political climate! Maybe some reporter would like to interview this resident.

but my husband said I would be absolutely crazy to go up and try to intercept the residents. Also, we had our five-year-old grandson in the back seat of our car and it was so cold tonight -- regrettably, I had to go along with his wishes.

He's not a media person. I am. I'm planning to email this to a couple of local people to see if anyone wants to "handle" this!

You'd still be admitting the coarseness of the message while acknowledging the depth.
