Jon Stewart's memorial to staffer
Did anyone understand the meaning of the two women from the "Dallas" series flinging each other into the water, as they were showing the photo of the young staffer who took his own life? O8)

I would really appreciate your input or ideas on this. Thanks

1. I didn't, but I saw it too
Jon Stewart looked like he'd been crying. I was so sorry to hear about that young man.

3. Glad you asked this......
...was wondering the same thing. Jon was very sensitive (no snark) to this lovely tribute. Those weren't "Dallas" ladies, that was a scene from "Dynasty". Same kinda tv soap, you were close :hi: The young man in the photo that followed the scene, was very young looking....he would have been too young for the network primetime soap era?

4. i think it was an inside joke
he called it the staffer's "Moment of Zen" so I was thinking the staffer had a thing for the show or those stars

Dynasty had a cult following for the clothes those women wore (among other things) so I'm thinking it was for his friends and the rest of the staff and not so much for the audience

5. It was probably an inside joke of some sort.
A little *wink, wink* tribute to the young guy...so sad. :(

7. We know the Dynasty reference was wink-wink...but
but I'd like to know more about the young man the tribute was referenced to?

8. Here's what I found on Wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Clarey

Not a whole lot, and some of the info is kind of touchy (as you can see, it's being "considered for deletion").
