my New Year's Resolution...
I'm signing up for Bikram Yoga classes...I'm very excited...my goal is to go at least 5 days a week...

this is the yoga in the really hot room so it elongates your muscles and you really SWEAT...which is important, because if I don't work up a good sweat I don't feel like I've gotten a good workout...

anyone else making resolutions?

1. Just be careful with that type of yoga. Drink plenty
of fluids. I have heard differing opinions on that type of yoga. But have fun with it too! I don't have a resolution yet!

10. yes bicycle
I didn't say I'd actually do it, just that I want to. Did over 50 miles in one day last year. Was impressed with myself til I saw a guy do the same ride on a unicycle.

13. I'm lucky
I happen to have large and apparently powerful legs, that compensate for all the beer and cigarettes I love ingesting

Hey, if I can do it, you can definitely do it! :hi:

I have the same resolution as you, btw, in terms of wanting to ride more often. Good luck with that and make sure you wear a helmet!!

Happy trails...

16. will do
I enjoy the feeling of wind rushing through my hair but not as much as I enjoy having a functioning brain so I always wear a helmet

24. My helmet saved my life this summer in a cycling accident.
It happened incredibly fast, in a suburban neighborhood. Turning a corner, front road bike tire slipped in a bit of water, hit my right temple against the curb. Cracked my helmet, got a concussion. I'm lucky to be here. Like you, I always wear it, but I was particularly grateful for it that day. Whew!

I'm always mystified by the dumbshits I see out on the road who ride around without one, sometimes even while wearing headsets. I call that Social Darwinism: Weed out the dumb ones!! :eyes:

Take care, taterguy....and btw, welcome to DU! :hi:

20. The same one I always make:
I resolve myself to Health and Well-being on ALL levels: mind, body, spirit. It's a tall order, but a worthy goal to shoot for.

This year, I'm proud to say, I fulfilled my resolution all year long by using a couple of cloth carrying bags for my groceries. I made a point of keeping them in my car and they helped reduce paper waste. All part of my plan to Tread Lightly On The Earth.

:hi:
