Whats your favorite "mixed drink", cocktail?
I love my Seven & Seven's. They taste good, go down easy and get you there.
Whats yours?

He had a fit too.
Which means they're probably right, but too bad. I do shots of it, which better be enough to keep him off my back about it.

(it won't be).

...a client brought in a bottle of high-end whiskey (Chivas Regal?)for my dad and told him: "This is the good stuff you drink straight or on the rocks. You want to mix it? Buy the cheap shit."

Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 03:52 PM by SteppingRazor
it's actually my day-to-day scotch of choice.

When you go higher-end than that (your Oban, Cragganmore, MacCallan, etc.), I'll throw in a cube or two of ice, but that's it.

19. Me too. We finally opened a bottle of single malt that we got
for christmas last year. (I forget what it was called now, but man! was it good).

As far as the dad whiskey controversy, I think there's sippin' whiskey (as in an "ass-pocket of") and then there's sippin' whiskey (as in, "my, what delicious whiskey this is.")

58. Um, an Apple Martini IS NOT A FRICKEN MARTINI!!!!!
How many times do I gotta say this.

A Martini is made up of gin, vermouth (dry) and an olive. It may come shaken or stirred. you may add a lemon twist to it. Some argue you might even add vodka to it, but it MUST HAVE GIN!!!!!

A Martini with an onion is not a Martini, it is a Gibson. A martini with apple juice and vodka is apple juice and vodka, not a martini.

Sheesh!

29. A Stolichnaya martini
painfully dry, shaken, with two blue-cheese stuffed olives is my favorite cocktail.

The White Dirty Mother is my favorite mixed drink - 2 parts Kahlua, 2 parts cream, 3 parts brandy. Tastes like a mocha milkshake and will get you seriously hammered.

31. A Top Shelf Margarita, Up!
First encountered at Pico's Mex Mex. The shaker come to the table, so you get another glassful. Sort of like a milk shake. Frozen Margaritas are fun, if less serious.

If I'm SERIOUSLY serious--a Martini.

Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 06:24 PM by DanCa
I said it by mistake because i didn't know how to order boose. I always wanted to try both of these but I didn't know at the time your supposed to order Vodka water, or gin and tonic. I told the bartender to give me a Vodka Gin and wow I woke up twenty four hours later. Now its a staple when i start drinking.
