Good Thursday Morning, Everyone!
:donut::hi:
How are you today? I hope just fine! :bounce: I had a busy, busy day at work yesterday and I hope it's busy again today because it makes the day go by SO much faster. I only had one jerk to deal with who was upset that he was going to have to assemble a piece of furniture he purchased. He continued to be a jerk even after I offered to have it assembled for him free of charge! He was one of those people who have a "I'm better than you because you work in retail, you piece of poor white trash." attitude. You should have seen him prancing around my store acting like he owned the place! People like that get underneath my skin and fester!

1. Good morning Clint.
:hi: and very early today :woohoo:

I get to have a short day at work today so I'm in a good mood. :bounce:

I don't understand why some folk can't treat those in service industries like humans - I suppose that they get some sad-assed kick out of it to boost their pathetic egos. :hug:

5. Hello, TJ!
:hi:
I think you are absolutely correct. I think he DID get a kick out of it to boost his ego! There's nothing you can do about people like that...just try to give them what they want so they are happy.

I'm glad you have a short day! That's always a good feeling. I'm here a bit early today because I have to be at the store at 7 am today. So, I'm not going to be here as long as I usually am.

10. We'll miss you greatly when you go.
I think that 7 your time is midday here :scared:

I'm out of here because I'm jollying into London to meet a friend and go to the theatre this evening. I worked extra time earlier this week, and so I get off at half past 3. :D

Hope that you do get a busy day, they do actually feel much better because the time flies past. But without fools who are so insecure in their own position that they have to look down on those around them.

14. I wish I could stay longer...
I considered getting up around 3:30am, but decided that was just TOO damned early. I hope you have fun in London today! I want to see "King Kong", "The Chronicles Of Narnia", "Brokeback Mountain", the new Superman movie when it comes out...what are you going to see?

28. Mary Stuart
It's a play about Mary Queen of Scots. Both my friend and I are interested in Stuart history, we only found out about it by accident - we met up for lunch on a Sunday and were walking along the street to the next place which served gin, and passed the theatre; having seen what it was, we were both keen to go.

:hi::hug:
There was a couple of times I wanted to kick him right in the jimmy! We don't get too many people like him at my store (thank all the gods), but those that DO come in sure are a pain in the ass! We'll see how he does getting it home without scratching it or damaging it in some way. :rofl:

24. Guess what my 10-year-old nephew wants for Christmas
I asked my mother last night what my niece and nephew wanted. I waited for a response, figuring I'd hear about action figures, video games and the like. What did I hear? He wants a Chia Pet! :rofl:

29. I am not making it up
I had to clarify with my mother to make sure she was talking about the right thing. I'm like "my 10-year-old nephew wants a Chia-Pet"? She confirmed it ("the pottery thing where it grows grass on its head"), and said he wants the Shrek one. I figured if that's what the kid wants that's what I'll get. :shrug:

That guy sure was a jerk! I worked at W.T. Grants many years ago (when I was a young, hot chick), in menswear. This grungy old man walked in one day and wanted me to measure his inseam. He was pretty creepy, so I called security. They told him to leave, but he kept coming back. He clearly didn't want to buy anything. They finally wouldn't let him back in. But it freaked everyone out so much that security escorted me to my car and followed me home at closing time. They watched me until I got inside my house, just to make sure I was safe.

You get all kinds, don't you? :shrug:

So, did the guy buy the furniture?

Edit: Duh -- of course he bought it ... that's what you said. :dunce:
