3. I'm not from your planet.
The music these kids today listen to... <shaking head>

No, seriously, I'm not up on the current music world, so I have no opinion either way.

5. Older stuff from the 90's and some from the 70's. Honestly,
I listen to all types of music. One minute, I'll listen to punk, the next I'll listen to Jazz. I just don't have MTV or any of the other music channels any more, so I am totally not current on music. The last new thing I heard was a groups called the Vines and that was a couple of years after they became popular in America. Only reason I "discovered" them for my personal enjoyment was by watching Letterman one night. I'm so out of touch. :(

6. That kinda describes me in a way.
I love a lot of styles of music and depending on my mood I'll listen to everything from Jazz to Classical to Hip Hop to Old Time Country. I've never even heard of the Vines so I'm outa touch too. I see some groups mentioned here sometimes that I've never heard, not even the names.

We're not really out of touch though. We just have our own unique tastes in music. :)

8. Yeah, a lot of people listen to one style of music mainly.
I guess you could say I like punk the best, but I love the Beatles/Stones sort of classic rock too. Also, classical and new age music in general can be a great stress relieving type of music to listen to. Oddly enough, even though I do not consider myself a big country music fan, I love both Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash.

Willie Nelson reminds me of my dearly departed grandmother (who adopted my mother unofficially), who was part Cherokee. His nose is identical to my grandmother's nose. I love his attitude about things as well. I forgot what the issue even was, but a few years ago I heard he sent all the democrats who stood u p to repubs some bandanas as a show of support. He seems like such an easy going guy.

Johnny Cash seemed to be a sort of pre punk punk rocker in a way. Just something about his dimeanor that really seemed nice to me...

I'm not even sure what to say about the fact that I love do wop.

I loved Roy Orbison. His music had recurring themes of loneliness and love for women that I can relate to.

I like old hip hop/rap music. Although I loved the song "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio, I got turned off by rap music when the whole gangsta thing became the norm. I prefer the more uplifting spiritual type rap for some reason. Listening to "Every Breath You Take" intermixed with a rap song and sung by a singer who actually beat Sting (The Police), wow. That was something I won't forget soon.

It's a mood thing with me, I guess.
