Company Holiday Gift baskets from Vendors
We get these delivered here every year. Cookies, Candy and all kinds of stuff in a nicely decorated basket. Every year the VPs who receive them puts it out for all to enjoy. This year we have a Mktg VP who was bragging how she loves it when these come in because she can re-issue the contents as gifts - they just save her from having to spend time shopping for those folks who you need to get something for but don't really care about. (Not her exact words but close enough)

I hate overpaid egonmaniacs who piss on their own group like this. She should be sharing this basket with the people who did all the work to warrant the gift in the first place. Luckily I am not in her group but her crew is sure full of the holiday spirit right now let me tell you :sarcasm:

1. WHAT?
Unbelievable... is she new? Everyone shares those!

Hell, my boss even set aside one of the boxes in the tower we got for me to take home to my kids!

And to add in her shitty little comment... well that just makes it all clear, doesn't it?

5. She's not new
She doesn't have an office out of the way anymore.. so everyone can see the 9 baskets in her office and heard her comments.

The most annoying thing she makes way more money than her crew - so she can afford to buy those little annoying gifts with no problem.

2. She wants to re-issue them as her own personal gifts to people?
Or 'gifts from the whole office'?... either way.. its still pretty bad.

6. It sounded like gifts for outside of the company
I dont' think she would pass them off here because then people would know she didn't buy them.

3. I got one of those 2 years ago
I gave away all the stuff I didn't want, including the basket itself. I think I only took the coffee and two frou-frou candy bars. No way to get it home on the bus.

7. That's the way it should be..
I have no problem with taking first dibs.. but hoarding it like that for gifts is a bit much.

4. That is puke-worthy.
My company, like yours, also puts them out for all to enjoy which I think they should.

13. She's not my boss - THANK GOD
She is the boss in Marketing.

My VP boss, the CFO and CTO are all hardcore Dems - :bounce:

She's just a selfish snot. Her crew is so pissed at her right now it's not funny.

14. We get things from vendors, and larger customers...
We have to put them all in the kitty and they draw names for them at one of the employee get togethers. I did get a very large bottle of gin one year that I got to keep though...
