When I Use the HTLM space " "....
I get an underscore line between the photos.

Two questions:

1. Why?

2. How can I make spaces between photos without an underscore line.

Thanks!

5. You Might Try...
Creating a plain white image and use that to hold you place.

7. If You Look At My Website....
http://www.wcdcpa.net you'll see two photos on the top right. They are separated by the html  . As you look at the photos, you will note, there is an underscore line between the two photos at the bottom.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

8. It's because you have both images within an "a href" tag
Edited on Wed Dec-14-05 10:47 AM by lukasahero
Try

<a href="http://www.slate.com/id/2132087/fr/nl">
<img src="cap_1.jpg" border="2"></a>your spaces here<a href="http://www.slate.com/id/2132087/fr/nl"><img src="cap_2.jpg" border="2"><BR></a>

Sorry about the "your spaces here" - I can't get that code to print out correctly in this environment and don't have the time or inclination to figure it out. :)

You also have an extra <a > at the beginning of the line of code which you should get rid of.

9. Ah Ha! "a href" Your Code Works!
Very cool. So I need to place </a> after the first pic, then place the same "a href" prior to the 2nd pic.

Also thanks for catching the uneeded <a>. Found it and deleted it.

Appreciate your time and knowledge.

11. the /a closes the link tag...
Edited on Wed Dec-14-05 11:18 AM by primate1
A link tag being <a href="URL here">

The link tag, unless you specify in a stylesheet that you don't want it to be underlined, will underline any text (including sspaces) contained within the <a href"..."> and </a> markup. (In that case, "and" as well as the spaces preceding and following it would be underlined.)

If you ever ned HTML help, feel free to PM me. I've got nothing but time on my hands for a while after tomorrow, haha.

12. You're welcome.
primate1 answered your question about placement of the anchor tags (<a> is called an "anchor") but I also offer the option up to pm me if you have any html or other web development questions. Good luck.

13. Two Both of You, My Thanks....And,
...since I am just a hack. A hack in the sense I might know what works, but don't always know what it means. Therefore, I have plenty of questions.

My main concern is that I don't feel I have a true table which is the left side on the website. Everything works, but I'm never sure I've divided the page correctly. I'm sure the site could be cleaned up html wise.

If either of you want to take a look to make it a more html stable site, please do. You can email me through this site, or the website. http://www.wcdcpa.net

It would be a huge help!

Thanks.
