that I was so excited to see him that I called a day early to hook up with him...though he's probably wondering why I called him a few minutes ago to ask him where he was (answer, not in Vegas, but in Beverly...Hills, that is) without my usual follow-up question ("and, um, what are you wearing?").

I thought it was Wednesday today, but I just found out it's Tuesday. Well, I'll be...

But GOPisEvil's potential bewilderment is nothing compared to what must be going through the minds of people at the plalce from which I called him, where I'd just interviewed for a job. That's right...another Wednesday appointment, and there I am brazenly barging my way in there and claiming an appointment at 3PM. I thought I was going to be late, given my difficulty in getting there in one piece, and -- as it turns out, I was exactly one mnute early. Well, one minute and one day early. The woman I was supposed to see, to her credit, did see me and we hit it off pretty well. I figure they think I'm a real go-getter now: "sumbitch came a whole day early, I swear! I like that. Let's hire him for double the usual salary."

I've long had trouble knowing what day it is, largely because -- for so long -- it never really mattered that much, but this is ridiculous.

On the bright side, I got tomorrow's errands done and got myself a whole extra day as a rebate. Tomorrow I'll go back to the future, but with less rush.

I mean, days of the week are so arbitrary...
