In this Post, you may think I sound like the Christmas Grinch....
..but frankly, I wish the Heck that the idea of "E-mail Christmas Cards"
would catch on or be more common.
I mean, every year, at this time, my bills get to my house 2 weeks late..
I can't send a bill out unless I give it 3 weeks to get to where it's going.
People who owe me money (for computer repair) usually pay me on time, (by mail)
but I get the dough after Xmas.
In short, this Christmas card "Deal" just Fucks-Up everything for normal Life.
I wouldn't feel so strongly about the whole thing but Geez..In this day and age
of Computers, there's no reason to swamp the Post Office every year with
$4.00 Hallmark Cards..

End of Bitchin' :)

1. I agree! And here's what I'd send out in my Christmas card emails:
MONEY'S SHORT
TIMES ARE HARD
HERE'S YOUR FUCKING
CHRISTMAS CARD

My sister has carried that around on a little card in her wallet for years.

2. LOL!..Yep..You know, even my neighbor was saying the other day...
"Isn't it amazing that, at this time of year, I get
20 Xmas cards from people I hardly know, who would probably not
give me the time of day 11 months out of the year, but feel compelled
to wish me a "Merry Holidays" out of Guilt..or whatever"

6. I remember everyone...
but not by name... I do think I might have offended your brother-in-law though, when we were discussing Passion of the Christ. :)

7. :alert: I must've missed that conversation!
Guess I should've told you beforehand that he's a fundy in his religious beliefs... Oops.

I was a little surprised how defensively he reacted when I said how anti-semitic the film was. I mentioned the way they portrayed the jewish children as savage, murderous animals, and he said something about that being straight from the bible. That's about where I dropped the conversation. :D

He was cool other than that.... and I loved your incredibly eclectic and diverse family! Lots of love there... it's good to be around.

9. My dear sweet BIL is a rare beast:
He doesn't think when it comes to the bible and his beliefs. Other than that he is golden. He is devoted, true, kind, funny, responsible, and best of all, loving. Looked at in those terms, it's no wonder he and my sister (atheist) have been together nearly 25 years.

I love my family, too. Was happy to show them off. Especially to you, cutie pie.

4. You don't sound like a grinch.

That is a very practical idea. I wish more people would do it. This time of year I always get cards from people that are mere acquaintances. This is especially true of people who send out those picture cards with the kids or the whole family. Strange to me that anyone would spend the money to send this type of card to someone they really don't even socialize with. And you are right. The zillions of cards clog up the post office and slow everything down. I hate it too!
