So what is there to do on one's weekend?

Hopefully they're still open.

Technically a gay bar, but when I lived there, it was where you went if you were an intellectual liberal, as well.. College professors, students, even some military. Great floor show. Added fun of seeing guys better looking than the girl you brought as a date. :D

Parts of it were like Alabama's version of Cambridge. There's one street near a baseball field with an old theater; there's a couple of nice places tucked in across the street.

Birmingham's not far. Montgomery is, on the whole, one of the most dead-ass towns I've ever been to. Sorry.
