Hi everybody. It's my birthday today :woohoo:

I feel like I'm getting to know you loungers a bit, but I don't know if you know me. So I thought this thread would be a nice way to hang out together and kill a snowy Friday to boot.

I write (but not enough), I draw (again, not often enough), I enjoy listening to the rock and/or roll (sometimes both), I'm learning to knit sweaters because I don't much like what's in the stores, I love tv (and I don't feel bad about it), I love to read, and I love photography but I'm not that good at it yet. (I finally got a digital camera for my birthday though so that should be fun to practice with.)

Here's me: I'm an attorney from the twin cities area. I went to Boston as a delegate in 2004 for Kucinich. I helped to found the Minnesota Progressive Caucus. I have a darling nine month old daughter. I speak Chinese and used to live in Taiwan teaching English. Since the last election I haven't done as much writing as I did during the election, and I've found like like the goofy nature of the lounge but haven't become one of the "in" crowd yet.

On my first christmas, I was still in an incubator in the hospital, because I only weighed 4 pounds although I was fullterm (in 1960, they wouldn't release babies from the hospital until they were at least 5 pounds).
