4. Cosmos and Appletini's are straight alcohol

Only thing other than vodka in an Appletini is Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps.

The Cosmo does have cranberry juice in it, but just a splash for color.

that's what I don't like. Plus, they're too sweet in general, though I do dirnk the occsional cosmo, but most places make them with cheap triple sec, and not cointreau, and I don't like that. And usually make them with cheap vodka. Since they're such an "in" thing now, a lot of bars make 'em up by the gallon before the bar night begins, and don't even bother making each one indiviudally.

if you do order one when out, make sure to ask for a quality vodka and that they use cointreau, and not triple sec. Then you'll know just how good they really can taste!

7. Bushmill's Triple Distilled (Northern Irish) Whiskey

Over an odd number of ice cubes in a crystal glass with a spoonful or two of Mountain Valley Spring Water (optional).

You won't know you are on your ass until you try to stand up--and the morning after is a lot less brutal than with the American whiskies.
