4. Isn't that dress fab?
This was from an Australian magazine.

The photo was taken at her house in LA.

15. I've always loved the way she dresses.
It's so funny because in the 1980's these snot nosed little rich bitch friends of my then boyfriend used to poke fun of her. These girls were a bunch of spoild rotten young girls that thought they were "punk" .... I love it that many of Stevie's styles became "cool" when Prince started to make it big in 1984. The lace, the scarves and stuff.

12. It *is* a fab dress, and she is a very attractive woman.
I'll admit that I'm not much of a fan of her singing, though - a little too nasal for me.

Might be one of those instances when meeting your idol meets your expectations!

I would love to tour her house(es) - especially her closets!!!

My Stevie Nicks story...years ago a guy who did sound for a band I was in went on to do sound for her first solo tour. He played her a few of our songs. She told him "I used to be able to sing like that!"

That's all I know. I'm not really in contact with her, but I think it's been a great ride for her. She worked in a salon in Phoenix, and somehow got a call to do hair/makeup for Stevie as a one time deal. She ended up getting hired to do all of the Fleetwood Mac reunion tours and everything since.

18. Ain't that true.
See one of my previous posts.

Stevie has never been one to dress as trends go. Maybe her hair got WAY BIG in the mid 1980's and early 1990's .... but she was always had her style.

I like her hair now.

When I saw her this past year, she had her hair pulled up and she looked just stunning.

20. One the few people that still make me cry when they sing.
Of all my idols (and/or gay icons), Stevie still touches my heart.

I could hear "Landslide" a 10,000 times and still lose it when she sings it live.

40. Treat yourself.
Next time she's on tour .... GO! I've seen her 9 time either solo or with Fleetwood Mac over the years.

Honestly the last two solo shows (2001 & 2005) were the BEST I've seen. She gets better as she gets older.

I went several years when I didn't see her in concert 1987 - 2001 and I was floored when I saw her again in 2001. It was like seeing her back from 1977 when she first joined Fleetwood Mac.

Since she kicked the drugs and booze and got her health back, her voice has never sounded better. I believe she's had training on her voice and has learned to sing "properly" .... if there is such a thing.

She was on "Today" a few weeks ago and sang "Landslide". Towards the end of the song she sings(with perfect harmony with her backup singers) "and if you see my reflection in a snooooooooooooow" and then paused while the crowd when nuts .... "coveeerrrd ...... hill, well maybe ...... the landslide with bring you down ......"

I've seen her sing that song and still break down and cry at the end.

That one and "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You". I saw a video of her singing it at a cancer benefit and she could hardly finish it because the crowd was going nuts in the middle of it.

Ahhhhh shit, I'm blubbering again!

Was that set the most fabulous thing ever????!!!!

She was so sweet and funny on stage. Sheryl Crow toured with her and did a few of her own songs. What a great show that was. Didn't Don Henley come out and sing "Leather and Lace" with her?

Closing night. Yeah Don was there and yes that stage was fantastic.

I didn't think that concert would ever take place.

First Stevie postponed it because she was ill with bronchitis (she had to postpone or cancel two weeks worth of shows).

Then 9/11 happened. She was actually in NYC at the time of the attacks.

It was such a great night. I needed to see her so bad after all the shit that went down. (in fact I have a fan review posted on her website) It was a great show and I loved seeing Sheryl with her.

"Trouble In Shangri La" is my favorite album of Stevie's.

32. My Stevie story
1976 at Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City, I and twenty other people found a place to get in just as Kansas was playing. My friend and I immediately scurried to the floor and managed to worm our way to the front of the crowd.
The next act was Fleetwood Mac, it was the first time I had ever seen Stevie and I fell in love, when she sang Landslide her hair was blowing back and the black lingerie she had on was blowing back, and I was hopelessly forever in love.
I wore out the fleetwood Mac album after that, and had to buy a new one.

and to respond to the previous poster .... I've seen Stevie Nicks various times from 1979 to 2005 and I've seen her in short skirts, long flowing dresses and even pants .... she isn't "hiding" anything.

She's also 57 years old.

I think she looks fantasic.

46. I was in high school in the late 70's.
So Fleetwood Mac was very popular. It was one of the things I had in common with some of the straight guys. We were in love w/ Stevie Nicks.

The only difference was they wanted to "do" her .... I wanted to "do" her too. But my idea was lypsnking to her songs with a tambourine and a shawl.
