If you could travel in time, but had no guarantee you could ever
come back to the present, would you do it?

I don't think so. I had a dream about this once, and in the dream I went the later '60's. I saw a guy in the dream who was in the army and I knew he was going to get killed in Vietnam. It was so sad. It made me realize that I couldn't deal with the prior knowledge of things like that.
