Since the first season I have felt that those involved with ANTM have alway bypass the best woman. I think they want to pick one of the girls who is not the best so they can pat themselves on the back later and claim that they made this girl a great model. Except for the second season, I have never felt they picked the best woman.

or was Covergirl worried that the best model was a very open lesbian?

Jayla & Bree were constantly in the bottom 2 and Kim was constantly named 1st or 2nd. She was the one to beat and then out of the blue she had one bad shot and she was out of there. I can't figure out why because a bad shot might put her in the bottom 2, but it should have been Bree eliminated that week because she was consistantly there.

I'm really peeved because I honestly think that Kim was ousted because Elle Magazine & Covergirl was panicking that they winner would be a lesbian and one who not only was very open about it on the show but even hooked up with some of the girls (Of course hooking up with Kim was the kiss of death because those girls ended up getting eliminated soon after).

Am I the only one who noticed this?

18. I do disagree! I don't think that was the issue at all.

A lot of models are bi or lesbian. I just don't think she had what it took. She was my least favorite. And I think Tyra really liked Bre and that is why she hung around. They even brought one on the show and she had graced several magazine covers.

and I don't think that Tyra or Ms. Jay had an issue with Kim being a Lesbian. But knowing that Kim (or the winner) would be a spokemodel for Covergirl and on the Cover of Elle Girl magazine, I'm thinking it was the sponsers that might have balked on Kim.

I think Nicole was definately the best choice for winner but Kim was definately better than Bree, Jayla & Nik. I think the sponsers might have been the one to get nervous. Having a lesbian model clothes isn't an issue, but how many of those lesbian/bi models have made it to top tier commericial success - spokesmodels for Covergirl, Victoria Secret or some of the other companies that hire top echelon models? But knowing today's environment where the family groups protest everything if somehow a gay, lesbian or bi is involved I could see an issue with the sponsers. This year Covergirl did a series of commericials with last years winner Naima for "My life as a covergirl". Can you imagine the flak Covergirl would have to deal with if the girl in question was a lesbian?

I just think there was something going on there because you can almost predict how people get eliminated and someone who is consistantly in the top for several weeks normally doesn't get ousted so quickly on a whim like that especially if she's up against someone who was constantly in the bottom 2.

25. I guess I can see your point, but I do have to disagree with

saying Kim was better than Nic and Jayla. I didn't like Jayla at all, but I think overall she was a better model than Kim. But we all had our faves. Nicole wasn't mine. Nic didn't start out as mine, but she became mine towards the end!!

Jayla should have been out way before Kim or Lisa, and Bre? Miss thing should have been tossed because of her granola bar/energy drink diva fit. I always liked Twiggy, but I LOVE her for seeing through Bre.

21. Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one who watched!

I thought Nik would win, and I was surprised to hear the judges talking about how she bounced too much on the runway. She looked hot to me. My husband thought that Nik had runway presence but that Nicole did not. Nicole is way cute, though, and photographs beautifully, so I'm happy for her.

I did think Kim was way cute. I guess she was my favorite this season. And I was sooo happy to see Jayla go. And Lisa and her diaper-peeing self!


Naima is still my favorite Top Model.

Nik's look is way too similar to Naima's, whose look is in turn similar to Eva's. Even tho' Covergirl doesn't really make that much use of their Top Model winners I'm not surprised to see them going for someone with a different look.

That being said I stopped caring when Kim got kicked off, even tho' she was kind of a sucky model. :P

I thought kim and Lisa were the best looking girls. They just looked like models to me. All the other girls seemed to look plain to me, but Nik and Lisa stood out and look exotic in my opinion.
