Whatever happened to handwritten letters?

I miss those. I don't think I've received one in about four or five years. They're more meaningful than emails are today, IMO. :(

Although email is great for staying in touch on a more regular basis. I still have a relative or two who writes letters. It is nice getting them in the mail. It makes me feel so special.

I've tried recently, but I just can't write legibly anymore. It ends up looking like someone should lock me up in a padded cell!

I'd guess that about half of my Christmas cards will have them added. My little sister spent a couple of months in Arizona earlier this year, she got several of them from me and even though my writing's nigh-on illegible it was far more obviously from me than some type-written nonsense. There's nothing quite like them - lok sending them, love receiving them.
