A work-related question
I get paid a VERY good salary.

But I already see signs that our division is slowly being made redundant.

Morale in the department continues to sink. It's cutthroat right now. You can imagine how the word "loyalty" is as unknown to them as "microcephalic", "matriculate", and "apostate" also are.

Other coworkers have similar complaints to mine but each of us has unique problems that management is singling us out for.

I am burnt out. Never mind how I've shown interest in other things (along with some ability) and then they say that work isn't in my duty list. Then they turn around and say I need to show an interest in things. :wtf:

Relatives say I have nothing to worry about because I've been there for so long and have a stellar work record.

While I am in debt and kinda like the paycheck... but the stress has been hitting my very hard lately. I can't even begin to deny the depression diagnosis from my counselor, who recently reiterated the hell of the last several months (one 'duh' for me...).

I need not mention the "job market". Either for my current field or the one I am hoping to get into.

Should I stay and try to not let the situation burn me up... or leave and take the risks of no paycheck?

Thx!
