'Panda Dog' Newest Designer Canine

The poodle-Maltese cross was named "Columbo" by its owner features a black-and-white dye job fashioned after a panda bear.

Columbo, who is naturally white, was dyed using a special hair dye for dogs that lasts about a month.

The Panda Dog could join a long list of suddenly trendy "designer dogs," pooches bred from different breeds that can fetch $1,000 a piece.

we called those mutts didn't we? Where I came from if it wasn't a purebred, it was a mutt. Now they're trendy, who knew.

I have a Japanes Chin/Lahsa apso 'cross-breed' that I could get papers on if I wished (just made her cost more) my 'mutt' is a Terrier/Shih Tzu that came from the pound for $65.00!

If you want to do cross breeds and what have you, fine. But please, please, don't dye your dog. It looked horrible when they used to dye poodles pink, and it still looks horrible when they dye mutts black and white. Besides, it really, really annoys the dog.
