Poll question: Another toe poll.
Edited on Mon Nov-28-05 02:55 PM by gwbsamoron
The big toe, at first glance, seems obviously analogous to the thumb. However, mine "feels" analogous not to the thumb, but to the index finger.

How about yours?

2. My wife can't stand my prehensile big toe
While camping it comes in very hand for getting items at the bottom of the tent.

3. I completely understand what you're saying.

It's the same way with me. My big toe feels like my index finger. And the toe next to it feels like the middle finger. But, there, it stops. I don't have an individual sense of feeling of the rest; they kind of all feel like one big toe. I can't wiggle them independently, either, which my neurologist says is a defect.

6. That's pretty much the way it is with me.
The second toe is like the middle finger. The little toe for me is pretty close to the feeling of the little finger. The other two toes have no definite correspondence.

4. Well, my right large toe is gone
but the one on my left foot feels more like a thumb.

5. So this one time, when I was like 19
Some friends and I were partaking of some 'herbal refreshment'... :smoke:

I was trying to pick up something from the table, but I was using my foot...and I said "Dang, I need a toe on my foot". Meaning thumb. And yes, we laughed like hyenas for about 4 hours. :D

Maybe you had to be there...
