was a rooster we named 'Broad Shoulders' and as chickens go he was a big bird. Broad Shoulders was also a pervert. That Senator guy Santorum shoulda knowed Broad Shoulders.
Broad Shoulders was in reality a direct descendant of 'T Rex' the dinosaur. When I was a little guy taking care the darn chickens was one of my many duties as the family go-fetch-it. Broad Shoulders took a perverted liking to little Eddie (me) he be thinking I was just another lady chicken. He be jumping on my back digging spurs in and pecking at the top of my defenseless and innocent head.
My sisters Lois and Eunice be watching the 'T-Rex Dinosaur' attack on their poor little brother(me)while laughing their skinny little butts off.
Well the Sunday came when we had Broad Shoulders the direct descendant of T-Rex the dinosaur for dinner.
They call 'em free-range birds now. We just called 'em yard hens. Got some grit in their craw. Gits the kitchen leavins and eats bugss and worms. Makes some eggs got orange yellars. You know what I mean. ;-)
Our chickens run free and some fall off the damn cliff onto the shore of Lake Erie and I gotta climb forty feet down the death defying rickety wooden ladder looking like a circus monkey and chase the dumb chickens down so they can be rescued and eaten (sigh).
Only one chicken escaped the table. She froze one foot off in the winter. I wired a piece of wire to her stump and named her 'crippled'. Because of he sad condition we let her die a natural death and buried her with the other pets. She was the last of our free range chickens.
Every time I see an airplane I think of Trof the pilot.
And when I think of pilot I think of Shogun the movie and when I think of Shogun the movie I think of that beautiful Japanese girl in the movie. (Our library has Shogun on DVD four disks I think it is)
And one of them got mauled pretty bad by the cat, but mom saved it and nursed it back to health and always looked after it. It even tried to follow her down the dirt road to school in the mornings. But then one day it was gone, and it wasn't until after dinner that night that she learned what was what...stop me if you've heard this before...
