7. Good deal. Now you'll have enough light to write
the letters that are going to make those a-holes at your insurance company pay what they're supposed to pay for.

At least I hope so. All those premiums you've paid over the years, and they tell you to stick your claim in your ear.

Then they wonder why everyone hates insurance companies so much.

I do hope this upward trend continues for you.

9. I am going to blast some letters to my insurance commissioner
and if I don't find any relief that way, I will be suing my insurance company and the engineering company that they hired that inadequately investigated my claim.

I appreciate your encouragement and I guarantee you that I will fight this.

Thank you for your good wishes.

Hi again. We chatted breifly on another threead a while back.
And it may seem strange to learn now how closely I followed your story, but for a long time post Katrina I was in a position to read DU but not login/post.

We had never talked prior to Katrina, even, but I have to tell you once again that your attitude made such a positive impression on me at a time when I was starting to get frustrated w/ the prevelance of snarky attitudes. Your tone and warmth made such an impression on me that I always clicked on the Kool-Aide Kid.

Then, "deployed" for Katrina in BR in a non-response capacity for 12 hour shifts--i.e., removed from TV, much less the actual reality of folks an hour's drive away--was so upside down bizarre for me that your posts became a strong personal connection for me, one that really helped me feel a human connection thoughout. In other wourds, ***your posts across those weeks sustained me****.

So you never know how your inner light will warm others and stay with them. You are probably wise enough to know that already. But it's something you taught me.

Thank you. And warm wishes for a brighter future fueled by the light you already contribute to so greatly.

Thank you for your kind words and your encouragement.
I am honored that my posts helped you and grateful to you for taking the time to write this post to me. It brought tears to my eyes.

I was not alone in my struggles, just as I was not alone in the dark last night. So many here have helped me and their love and support have sustained me. If it had not been for one person taking my call and holding me up just after the storm, I'm not sure that I would have found my way back to DU, let alone would I be where I am now. Things aren't perfect, but I haven't given up.

It's the ripple effect, a true example of how our lives touch one another.

My light is no more brighter than anyone else on this board. My circumstances make it appear that way, but if any of you were in my shoes, you would be of the same mindset. I just do what I have to do, the alternative is not something I am interested in.

Love and blessings to your and yours. Thank you again for making my day.
