Just Saw "Syriana" (No Spoilers)
It's a very sophisticated movie, and very well made. It's not a Bush bash fest. Rather it delves into the geo-political-economic implications of our various energy policies and how these policies affect various people across the globe.

I don't think that this film will be a mainstream hit because it'll be way over the heads of average Americans, but DUers and Air America listeners will love it.

2. Exactly!! Where do people get that it is a "Bush bash fest"? Guilty
consciences, anyone?

I thought the movie was very well done and puts a lot out there to think about.

3. Read through IMDB's Syriana page
I never post there but do read through the boards occasionally. The right-wingers are in all out bash mode for this movie. I can't wait to see it just to piss them off.

5. Hey -- the truth hurts, doesn't it?
The stuff in the movie is not unbelievable; it is all very believable and a good example of what is going on in the world today.

Wake up, freepers!! Pull your heads out of your asses and get a little reality check.

10. What The Freeper Idiots Don't Understand
The movie is an expose of how the oil business works, regardless of who is president. These events could have happened during any presidency in the last 100 years.

I guess when you have to defend the most incompetent presidential administration in history you tend to get overly defensive.

4. Excellent. I want to see it, and am glad its over the head of the....
...average sheeple. That's how movies used to be before most were made for teenagers. Plus, I can't wait to see Alexander Siddig...

although as with the other Clooney must-see - "Good Night and Good Luck" - it's not out here until next year.
