"CSI" is one informative show.
Who knew, for instance, that there's a rare genetic disorder that causes people to always feel hungry. I didn't know there was such a thing.

Too bad this episode was aired on Thanksgiving, of all days.

3. Yup
Hi Terry :hi: Good to see ya.

I like that show. Have you ever seen "Criminal Minds"? That is also a good one for loads of trivial crap.

Hope you had a good one.

5. Prader-Willi Syndrome.
Sounds like a tough thing to deal with.

8. The creepy show was where the woman had out-of-control porphyria.
Also known as the "vampire disease." Remember that one? She was a personal trainer for young, healthy males, but she also trained her dogs to attack them so she could harvest their organs for her diet.

I rent the videos because I don't have television reception, and I can't wait for the next series to be carried by the local video store.

9. Yep. Prader-Willi Syndrome
I've worked with developmentally disabled individuals who have this, and all of the food in the house must be locked up for their own protection.

11. Indeed
Phenylketonuria is another bad one I've encountered. Special diet, frequent blood tests to determine phenylalanine levels, etc. Of course, nowadays they test at birth for it and start the child on the diet immediately to prevent mental retardation, but in the past they didn't so many kids suffered greatly.

12. I think I have that.
I sure am hungry all the time.

I love CSI and CSI: Miami, but for some reason, CSI: New York doesn't hold my attention as much. I learn a lot on CSI. Who knows? Maybe one day I can write that crime drama novel after all. I need to do more research about the gruesome stuff. Stephen King's graphic mind has nothing on mine.

13. I read a newspaper article on Prader-Willi several years ago.
What a horrible thing to have (and to deal with). This was, by the way, the first time I was able to figure out a CSI plot before the episode was over. :)
