while they close plants and lay off THOUSANDS of jobs.
Knowing people are going to be out of work... doesn't make me warm and welcome to their products so much anymore. Particularly if/when they magically give out just as many new jobs overseas...
The Peanuts cartoon was from 1968 as well. 10 years after the Looney Tunes cartoon (and not seen since 1980) where Sylvester is taught by Elmer the meaning of capitalism and money. (and it's too right it's not shown; the cartoon is so dated and inaccurate given the methods of businesses since Nixon's time in the oval office...)
