when we had a Mardi-Gras themed fund-raiser, we bought our beads from a company in Baton Rouge. On their website, they thanked the people 1) who were having fundraisers and 2) who were making a point to buy in Lousisiana to help their economy.

One of the great things about New Oreleanians is the fierce loyalty they hold for local businesses. When Starbucks was taking over the rest of America, PJ's thrived in New Orleans. You see a PJs on every corner, but are hard-pressed to find a Starbucks anywhere.

Bush will never forgive those bastards for dying in public like that and making him look bad.

All those federal dolars promised to the city will go ino his buddies' companies and the people of New Orleans will be left to fend for themselves. My charity for the city is going directly to the city, not the Red Cross, or any other money collector who has never delivered on their promises.
