4. I don't know how long the average Hollywood writing career is
but they need some new blood in their ranks. Seems like after so long creativity goes out the window, substituted with some pre-packaged formula.

8. I think they need to shitcan a couple of Beancounters
And start hiring some Hunter S. Thompson type writers, at the very least we would get some interesting movies.

9. Yes axe a couple beancounters.
I could make a movie about that. Accountants having to do an honest day's work instead of cooking the books.

13. I agree that there is way to much consideration
for the easy buck...

But if Hollywood didn't make all the crap, then the good ones would not and could not be made...

People who like this crap need entertainment...

5. Guess what else??
After the rehash of Cheaper by the Dozen, they have the nerve to come up with a flippin' sequel!

It's called Cheaper by the Dozen 2. Hot dog! :sarcasm:

15. I know
and there's a fictionalized biography that the original was ostensibly based on, and the book has a sequel, but are they using the sequel to the book for the sequel to the movie? no....

14. Because they can?
The original was weak enough that they might accidentally improve it.

16. How bout that terrorist angle in the Poseidon Adventure on NBC?
Turned it off quick. This is the new Political Correctness, the original partly blamed the new owners of the SS Poseidon for the disaster. Capitalists are never to blame anymore.

what´s next Towering Inferno? Instead of a guy cutting corners, we have terrorists....oh, we really did that one. And they combined it with Airport.

Earthquake, a natural disaster strikes a city, but it´s the terrorists fault...we did that too with Katrina, the terrorists made bush take resources away from NO.

So now our movies are reality and our reality is TV.

well, the Poseidon Adventure has one thing right, the world is upside down again.

26. I loved that movie
Saw it at the theater when I was in grade school. Its fitting considering the economy but its also sad that Hollywood has to resort to recycling screenplays because they are worried about taking a chance on a story that hasnt been told a million times in the same way.
