Nini was able to come down for the weekend, and we had a great time... went to the San Diego Zoo, then yesterday up to Point Loma (incredible place!)... now I have that letdown not unlike after a holiday.

I am happy about Thanksgiving though. It is one of my favorite holidays, and this year will be the best one in years. :D

Long time no see!

Hey, we got our first snow of the year out here...even though it's all melting now, I'm so excited about it!

We enjoyed a balmy 87 degrees out here in southern CA over the weekend! B-) The idea of snow seems so remote, lol.

After the vicious winters I spent the previous 2 years in northern AZ, I am so glad to be back home! :bounce:

I have deep concerns about home heating for all of our friends this winter, with high oil prices, and working furnaces... :hug:

27. I'm taking extra heat conservation measures this winter.

I'm buying enough 1 x 1 wood to frame out my sliding glass doors. Then I'll use clear plastic as a barrier against drafts.

We'll have 3 cords of wood delivered this Wednesday. The new wood stove will be installed soon. It will feel much warmer for a smaller heating cost. Our oil consumption has been very high every year. I intend to change that.

Yesterday morning a little after 5 AM, I discovered that the furnace was belching fumes into our attached garage. It was one of those days.

Unfortunately, when they occur, I am not long out of class and back at the hotel, where I like to get my bearings afterwards. I am not far from the coast, but driving out there is the last thing on my mind when I return. :-)

My Bolts won handily yesterday. They retired Lance Alworth's number at halftime... it was LONG overdue! One of the greatest wide receivers of all time. I think we will be the team to hand the Colts their first loss. :P
