Poll question: SNL? Alive... or dead...
It does have it's moments of greatness... But lately, it's been quite bland and unfunny. I'll watch it when it's on if I'm up (Which, these days, I usually am...) but it's not really anything to look foreward to.

The only way I would watch it would be if it had Natalie Portman, Greenday, and some guy roller-skating, singing all of the skits in a panda suit.

But that's just me...

1. I all went downhill with Tina Fey/Colin Quinn Weekend Update
after witnessing those, it was over.

2. Not even Natalie Portman, Green Day, and a roller skating man in a panda
suit singing all the skits could save it?

3. I laughed a few times last night while watching it.
It could have been the beer, though.

"You're not helping, Gable."

6. I liked that one.
'And you're gonna pay credit card interest on that streetwalker outfit until you're too old and fat to wear it!'

How I've longed to say that to the mean girls at my school...

4. I haven't even bothered to watch it in years.
The sketches go on waaaaay too long. I rarely care for any of the musical guests. And the cast and writing aren't very good.

5. Heard one good line last night...
ripping Jean Schmidt "Guessing by her outfit, she was a gymnast in the 1970's"

7. the Daily Show has more laughs in 20 minutes than the writers and actors
of SNL can come up with in a week's time. Its time to put the show out to pasture.

For the show to be worth watching
the cast needs to be overhauled. The writing staff needs to be replaced. It's so hard for a show like that to hold it's edge. SNL lost that long long ago.

I think she is hilarious and a great writer...

I think overall it has been pretty good this year.

ANd really...every year since the original cast went off these same arguments crop up...and every year SNL continues on!!!

11. This season's been awful so far
Not Jean Doumanian awful, but more like "unfunny season before Farrell and Shannon signed on" awful. This cast is really stale.
