5. Heh "Come Sail Away"
I used to lambaste that song until I heard Eric Cartman do a version of it.

I girl I dated had a college roommate who used to play that over and over and over again.

2. REO??? They're still alive?
Edited on Fri Jul-25-03 12:31 PM by Gman
Starting with REO at that point in time, every band sounded just like them... Kansas is one that comes to mind immediately. There were lots more. Hell, Styx and Journey are two more that immitated REO.

10. Geezerpalooza!
Wife and I went to see Def Leppard a few months back. It was fun seeing all the thirtysomething women dressed up like teenagers from the 80's. I guess it'll be the fortysomethings and fiftysomethings tonight.

9. Don't feel bad for me RKZ ....
I love all types of music - even the "uncool" genres like arena rock.

11. Sorry to hear..
but I must admit, the first album I ever bought was Styx's (Styx'?) "Grand Illusion", with the laser etched image on the vinyl.

Yea, sometimes those cheesy old guy bands are fun to see. As long as the concert is free or dirt cheap. :)

14. So far it is sucking out the ass!
I'm 36 years old - what a pissy age to be. I could probably pass for younger, but I have all these "responsibilities". I'm too broke and too much in love with my wife to have a decent midlife crisis. Not enough money for a convertible sports car, and the pretty young mistress thing would break "MY" heart.

So, what else is there for me to do but to go see old bands play.

18. It's not
Styx without Dennis and it's not Journey without Steve. REO still has Kevin though so that's cool. I went to see REO at an Indian Casino for shits and giggles a couple of years ago. Cronin was so funny, making fun of their biggest hit - "Can't Fight This Feeling" and saying how much they hated that song. Rolling his eyes when they played it- lol.

Actually it was a fun evening. Tickets were only $20. Outdoor concert in the high desert with a lightning storm off in the distance over Sedona. That was especially cool when they did "Riding the Storm Out." Clearly I have no shame either ;-) I suggest drinking a lot (I did) and just enjoying the flashbacks :-) Don't take it seriously, just have fun!

20. Remember
You need to get the car to 88 mph AND provide the flux capacitor with 1.21 gigawatts of power to make it back to the present.
