Is has to be Matthew Broderick, right?
An A-list star is being introduced to spice up sitcom Sex And The City - but HBO executives won't say who it is. In the final season of the hit Sarah Jessica Parker-starring program, many have assumed her character Carrie will end up with on-off beau Mr. Big, played by Chris Noth. However, producers are set to introduce a new character to provide love interest for Carrie and keep viewers guessing who she will walk off into the sunset with. Executive producer Michael Patrick King explains, "Why would we bring in a major name if Big was already the clear winner?"

What the hell happened to Berger?

2. Carrie comes across as a self-centered bitch without a clue...
Miranda is a snotty snobby tightass...

Charolette is a spoiled princess who believes that her shit doesn't stink.

Samantha has the only thing close to a passable personality- but...who knows where that thing has been?

It's no wonder that none of these women can stay in a stable relationship with a quality male...why do so many women seem to look at these characters as heroines to emulate?
or do they?

3. No, not at all
It's fun to watch neurotic, self-indulgent women try to figure things out. Entertainment.

4. Blair Underwood
I've read that Blair Underwood would be joining the show as a love interest of one of the women but it hasn't been stated which one.

10. yes ....let this be a lesson to all single men
If you have ever come across any woman resembling any characted out of SITC...RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!

I dated a woman like this - didn't help that she was a Texan. Stay the HELL away from anyone who resembles:

Carrie - she will ruin your life and make you hate women for years to come

Miranda - She will make you question your worth and dignity until you are all your confidence is gone and you are merely a shell of what you once were.

Charlotte - She will only date you if you have lots and lots of $$$$ and will always put her needs over yours, and think of any of yours as insignificant. She will also cheat on you, no question.

Samantha - She will turn out to be a guy in drag. No natural-born woman acts like that.

8. Yes!!! Finally someone agress with me!!!
Wife watches this every week and was aghast when I made comments of the same!

Last ep just spilled it out to me. They're all self centered egotistical manipulative materialistic women who see who they date as no different than the fashions they wear or apartments they live in.

True - we guys have had this coming to us, but this show treats men like objects. Basically, we have porn for women :)

15. Agree with you. If women were REALLY like that, misogyny...
would be completely justified.

5. Everyone deserves love, even spoiled self-centered women.
I don't care who they bring on to keep the tension high before the final reunion with the only one Carrie should end up with--BIG!!

Burger is just the anti-Big. He is what Big isn't and he isn't what Big is. He's childish, immature, whiney, full of self-doubt and angst, a loser, lacking in savoir-faire, hipness, coolness. He is decidedly not BIG.

As for the rest, don't care about Miranda. I love the Charlotte-Harry story/nexus. And I think Samantha is going to end up with Jerry/Smith Jarrod. He's perfect for her. Well, he seems perfect for anyone, but I like the pairing.

7. I hate Big
I hate him. Ugh. And I love Berger. His faults are more acceptable to me than Big's.

And I think Berger is way better looking.

But I tend to be more attracted to the struggling artsy types.

13. Big is HOT, Berger is just way toooo scruffy
I mean, last year the first episode with Berger he was an attractive guy, but now it seems they don't wash his hair, don't ever shave him and his clothes look like they came from the closeout rack at goodwill. At this point they are making him just horribly wrong for Carrie.

There are only 2 men she could end up with and that's either Big or Aidan, but Aidan is married with a kid now. If you ever read the book the TV show is based on, I'm hoping that's how they'll end the book.

I'm hoping we see more of Harry because he loved her way too much to just walk away from that. I think Charlotte learned a very valuable lesson when he walked out like that and the previews showed Charlotte at a Jewish mixer with another gal saying "All is left is the fat, bald guys (which is Harry)".

I'd love to see Richard come back into Samatha's life and she'd have to choose between the two. Jarrod is fun, but I can't see that one lasting much longer. I'm sure eventually Jarrod will make it big and ditch her for someone younger. That'll be the defining moment for Sam.

And it's obvious that Miranda and Steve will end up together. I say those are the 2 that end up getting married!

14. WHY did Harry have to go, LOL? Why?
They ended that so quickly I wasn't sure if a)they were setting it up for later, or b)it was some stupid behind the scenes deal where they had to cut his screen time short.

My mouth was wide open during that entire rant that Charlotte gave--I was really surprised to see it go down like that. She really flipped out. But then, 2 weeks later her friends are trying to talk her out of it? Did she even come to terms with what she said? Whaa??

The whole thing leaves me confused. I'd like Harry to come back, but they're doing a good job of keeping it in the air.

16. I think Harry will be back
Someone had to put spoiled Charlotte in her place and I'm crossing my fingers we'll see him back soon.

They said one of the gals is getting married at the end of the season and I'm thinking it's either Charlotte or Miranda.

19. I missed one episode
And that was the one- when Harry left. I liked him!

What happened? It sounds like Charlotte went off the deep end? Maybe becoming Jewish would be losing too much of her identity and she freaked out about it??

12. WHY can't she end up with Big? WHY?
Big is the only guy I've seen on this show that can handle her.
Sure, he needs some tweaking, but GEEZ. Can't they undergo personality changes and end up together? Of course they WON'T, but they should, IMO.

Berger after Big? YUCK, LOL. As you said--he's insecure, petty, etc. etc. etc. If SATC is supposed to be fantasy, get that outta here, LOL--I know guys like Berger in real life, and they're a pain romantically.

Chris Noth, physically, is not my type--but his suaveness, etc. make him one FINE man! Woo!

18. I know, I'm a glutton for punishment
romantically, but I can't help it! I love musicians and artists- the good ones are always conflicted and complicated.

But Big treated Carrie SO badly and I don't find him handsome at all.

They changed Berger kinda the same way they changed Aiden- he became kinda psycho and clingy. But I think they could be really happy together. She's riding high right now in celebrity and he could bring her down to Earth and make her happy- if she lets him.

11. She'll end the show alone, IMO--Berger sucks. Again, LOL, MO.

That's going to be the 'message'.
Kind of like Ally McBeal.

Women don't need a man to be happy, even if that's what the entire show has been about. Self-revelations and all that.

I think Samantha and Miranda will get married/be in long term relationships. The story arcs seem headed that way. Charlotte wants to get married SO much that she won't, and Carrie will be in a relationship, or not, but she won't meet "the one". Maybe she will in the last 5 seconds of the last episode--have 'a meaningful look' or something.. .

Those are my predictions.

Berger stunk from the minute she met him, LOL--boring, not that attractive, "funny" (which is different from *funny*)....he's completely unimpressive.
on edit--David Duchovny! That's who it was.
