6. I almost would prefer the snow to the frost
at least it is pretty. Note, however, "almost"... have a commute later today and probably frost is better than snow for that.

7. no spectacular sunrise here, but the moon is still "up and shining"
don't really know what that means - but always noteable when it is up.

12. I dislike the cold. I need to put the heater back in my birdbath.
It's great for them when everything is frozen and under the snow.

14. I am thankful
this morning reminds me how much I like to be able to have the heat on rather than be chilled (I don't have it terribly high), and that at this point in life I can absorb the increases in those bills - and it reminds me that already this season their are many who are already beginning to make life-threatening choices (old or infirm... heat so I don't get chilled and ill... or medicine... or food...)

*sigh*

18. I am thankful myself. It's going to be a hard winter for so many this year
I'm putting in a new wood stove to cut down on heating cost. I'm also going to build frames for my sliding glass doors. They are thermal pane glass but covering them with clear plastic will help to keep any of the drafts from stealing our warmth.

21. I suggest using 1 x 1 as a frame. I'm doing it in two sections per door.
I have 6 doors that are over-sized. They are 8 foot wide.

11. I'm enjoying it by painting and listening to
a Norah Jones CD, while Call Me Wesley plants my tulips for next spring and cleans up the garden for fall.

You have a good Saturday, too, salin! :hi:
