5. Bummer
I don't believe in the draft--compelling someone to risk their life in a war is unethical.

7. When I was prescribed Prozac
This is a true story and very embarrassing story, but nobody knows me, so who cares... I couldn't sleep for three nights. On the third night I resembled a zombie, so I tried the old trick that men sleep better after an orgasm. It took 15 minutes to get an erection and almost an hour to have an orgasm and it was a pathetic orgasm as well despite all the hard work. I was drenched in sweat and totally exhausted and heavily frustrated from being very close to complete impotence. So next I flushed the crap through the toilet and I decided to get me some good ol' Ganja. I slept like a like baby for more than 12 hours and was horny as a toad. The moral of this story is, nature offers much better cures than the pharmaceutical industry.

8. SSRIs can do that
And pot is a magnificent stimulant . One of a Brazillion reasons the federal government keeps it criminalized, the evil SOBs.

17. Call it the most impotent moment
Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 10:58 AM by Thom Little
Waking up on the operating table so immobilized by pain and anesthetic that I literally could not lift a finger. Trouble was, the tube from the breathing machine was crammed down my throat and it was turned off, completely blocking my breathing. Everyone in the room was away from the table at that moment and doing what, I could not tell. I was gagging on this thing and could not even draw a breath or move a muscle, so, unable to do anything else, I just gagged as loud as I could hoping someone would hear it. Pretty soon I heard, "Omigod, he's awake!" and the thing was yanked out. I drew the biggest breath in my entire life and collapsed. At least I was already sewed up when it happened.

Second place goes to the however long it was I lay in the recovery room. I was in so much pain that I couldn't sleep and the ceiling lights were overwhelmingly blinding, making it even worse. They said they were giving me drugs to ease the pain but I sure couldn't tell it.

I don't ever want to have major surgery again.

19. That must have been horrifying
I can't imagine what that must have been like. I've heard stories like that before, and that's the biggest thing that scares me away from any surgery that requires general anesthesia. I'm glad you pulled through ok after the initial scare though.

23. I just couldn't go through with it
the idea that she had been around the block so much couldn't leave my head. So I left her house without besmirching my honor and lo and behold her future husband showed up and got his first "action" off of her.

Thank gosh I didn't get roped into that. :: whew ::
