What am I missing here.. She starts at age 20-21..and 13 years later she;s getting lifetime achievement awards??

Oops.. It's mary J Blige..she might be a fantastic singer, but when I think of lifetime achievement awards, I', thinking in terms of people who have been in the business for 30 yrs or so..

with Bobby..she's been downhill ever since.. I don;t like yodel-singing, so I never liked her stuff anyway:)

Look, I know that I don't keep right on top of the latest pop music scene, but I know that if this Mary J Bilge was anything special, I would have heard of her.

Instead, all I'm drawing is a :shrug:, so that right there tells me that she isn't anything special.
