The few, the proud, the tail-high!
A real proud guy! Nick-Nick!

Downside: In his "six" it is all doggie asshole.

1. So,
Is that his 'Dress' or 'BDU' collar?

2. Actually, it is Sirius's red collar.
Nick got it when Sirius died on 8/25/2005. BTW: What is "BDU"?

3. Battle dress uniform
aka: Camoflage.

Well, it looks good on both of them. Sorry to hear about Sirius. I had to have two dogs put down in the last year - Diablo in December and Amigo in May. Since then, I have aquired two new housemates - Corki and Melia. I honestly don't believe I truly appreciated the calm manner of an eleven and a twelve year old dog until I found myself living with two pups under a year.

I don't pass on collars. I always have the collar cremated with the dog. But that's my preference. I understand why someone may not opt to do that - 'Cuz, maybe Nick wanted something of his big brother's.

7. Yep. As soon as we get settled in the 100y/o house in Greenville, SC.
I've already got the word out with friends in rescue programs. Nick-Nick needs an energetic pal. Ironically, Nick-Nick was in the room when Sirius died and he started exhibiting habits of Sirius almost immediately (or I started noticing them). The move-in in now re-scheduled for 11/22.

The 1905 Prairie Cottage we are restoring. Dr. D used to spend the night here in the 1960s with a friend whose parents owned the house for about 40 years. Dr. D's friend's mother is still alive and lives in the same retirement community with my M-I-L. We can't wait to get settled in and have her over, and we hear that she is chomping at the bit to see the old place. That might be fun.
