12. Akavit, a VERY Dutch friend of mine got me started on that years ago
Very strange taste I could never get accustomed to, and I still remember it's taste. Some seed if I am not mistaken.

3. I get the pomagranate but what is bellinis
Ok I googled it. Is this how you make them?

Pomegranate juice, vanilla vodka, orange juice and Champagne are blended together at the bar to make Pomegranate Bellinis.

5. Prosecco is sparkling wine
from Veneto.

Champagne is by definition french, Prosecco is by definition italian (and Bellinis are traditionally made with Prosecco.)

Cheers!

10. well, the Prosecca recipe I saw
said 2 cups Pom to a bottle of Prosecca and then some lemon peel in the glass. The Prosecca has to be "spumante" not "frizzante." Don't know why. I think it has to do with how fizzy the prosecca is. Must be really fizzy, I think.

7. As long as you don't use Dalmatian Prosecco you're fine.
(Dalmatian is a completely different kind of beverage.)

Since you're using it as a mixer, don't worry about whether it's great wine. It should be quite fizzy, so don't be surprised by that.

I think Il is really easy to find this year, but I don't know about prices.

8. Ramsey should answer that one - she got me hooked on Prosecco
Yummy!

For those who don't know, it's an Italian Sparkling wine. It's basically Champagne but you can only call Champagne the stuff that comes from the Champagne region of France.

9. Great! Yeah, Prosecca is a sparkling wine
and the one that is called for in this recipe is the "spumante" kind, not the "frizzante." So, there!

Oh well, it seems like this is a somewhat well known drink. I'd never heard of it, but I am not a big drinker, but I do like wine.

Anybody know a great Prosecca?
