I have decided not to TiVo the fundie nutcase episode of Trading Spouses

As insane as the woman is, I cannot in good conscience watch it in the hopes of deriving entertainment from it. Obviously, she has grave mental illness, which is not being addressed...and I cannot be party to FOX capitalizing on her mysery.

1. I saw the preview during the football game

that woman is frightening...she was going apeshit, clearly in need of some counseling.

2. I watched the first part of it.

(nothing else was on at the time). The woman from Mass. stated that she was partially raised in the UU church and the other women practically attacked her. She is more than willing to be open to other experiences-the other woman is not and her friends obviously were not either.
I wonder how much of the other woman's behavior is from being brainwashed.

I applaud your sensitivity to her condition. I don't know that she has an actual mental illness. I think it's just a personality disorder, sometimes called "hysterical bitch." But whatever it is, it is disturbing.

4. I gave it a pass for the same reason

I thought the culture clash was a great premise but that lady was just too much. Easy to pity, hard to laugh at.
