Remember when I told you guys about my College and National Coming Out Day
Edited on Sun Nov-06-05 05:45 PM by Lady Freedom
Well this letter was sent to the Joplin Globe about it.I took the name and city off. When will we as a community ever stop hating?

Lifestyles

This letter is in reference to Missouri Southern State University's
sponsorship of National Coming Out Day, which encourages the "evil"
homosexual lifestyle (Globe, Oct. 13).
It is absolutely incomprehensible that an institution of higher
learning such as MSSU, or any institution, would deliberately be an occasion of sin to condition
and lead their student body into the tolerance or acceptance of such an evil, deviant lifestyle as that of homosexuality.

Homosexuality is against the laws of God and nature which cries to
heaven for vengeance. This action clearly illustrates that MSSU does
not
have their students' mental, physical and, above all, moral and
spiritual well-being in mind.

One must avoid the homosexual and lesbian lifestyles as if they were a
devastating plague. God wills it.

1. Never.
Not as long as people with extremely small minds and bigoted attitudes continue to exist.

2. I would like to know where she gets the idea that MSSU is a
Christan College? We have many different religious beliefs in our school so we can't just make one group comfortable and make others feel like lower citizens just because of their beliefs.

3. I think gay folks
should celebrate their coming out day every year like a birthday, with a party, gifts, balloons, etc. Saturate the world.

4. "God loves this, God hates that"
I hate it when people think they speak for God. :grr:

5. It seems that there is at lest 1 letter a day like this in the paper.
It seems fruitless to argue with them. They never want to listen, just be followed.

6. Send your paper this letter
I just wish to express my annoyance with individuals who write letters to this paper and invoke my name to justify their angry hate-filled beliefs. Your divine mission as humans is to love one another. Mindlessly hating someone because of their sexual orientation is repulsive and immature. Grow up!

Your benign and loving Creator,
God

7. Oh yeah. If they print that, you might follow up with this one:
I'm writing to express my disgust with the deplorable conditions of the pavement on East 15th Street. It saddens me that my creation is blighted with the presence of such large potholes. Furthermore, it makes for very dangerous driving conditions and unnecessary wear and tear on vehicles. The taxpayers of Joplin deserve more responsible management of transportation issues.

Your benign and loving Creator,
God
