I bought a new recumbent so why do I
feel as if I have betrayed my beloved scooter?

I bought my Vespa LX50 on June 25 and I love it, I absolutely love it. However, since I've had my beloved scooter I've not ridden a bike regularly nor have I exercised regularly. I have an upright but I prefer recumbents.

So, I replaced a recumbent I lost when I moved in August. It is a Bachetta Cafe

It rides nicely and everything. I will still ride with the scooter rider's club but I know I need to ride my bike as well.

2. There is a recumbent only bike store in
Maryville IL which is right outside St Louis MO. It was not cheap but it's light and easy to ride.

3. Cool bike!! Just don't forget to wear a helmet, friend.
I'm really big into helmet safety, especially since mine actually saved my life earlier this summer. I'm a cyclist, too, and I was coming back from a 25 mile solo ride, turning a corner, when my skinny roadie bike tire slipped in a little bit of water and down I went. Total freak accident. Hit my right temple against the curb. Cracked my helmet. Got a concussion, had the brain CT scan...everything came out fine, but I had to stay off my bike for two whole months, which for me was a loooooong time.

Anyway, I'm lucky to be here.

Wear your helmet and ride safe!! My two cents...

:hi:

4. I have grown so attached to my scooter that
I feel like I am betraying it...I know it's an inanimate object but I have bonded with it as I have no other object.

5. Hmmm...should I be worried about you?
 The scooter doesn't have hurt feelings, trust me on that.

Just don't forget to wear a helmet!! Have I beaten my opinion well enough into you yet?? I don't mean to be obnoxious, it's just my personal crusade these days....

:)

6. Many people worry about me and my obsesson with
my scooter. I've told male friends that I kind of understand how people become obsessed with certain cars such as mustangs and such.

I have a helmet. Thanks for your helmet crusade. It saves lives.

7. There's a scooter place next door to my house.
I'm so happy they don't do Harleys.

I went from drop bars to flat bars, but no bent yet. Bikes are the best.

But I hope you enjoy your scooter too.

Bill

9. OMG, the bike shop where I bought my 'bent
had a USED titanium TRIKE for $4k! The bike mechanic said that it's a porche of bikes.

Yeah, my bachetta was on the low end, what they call an entry level 'bent. More expensive than my Bike E but not $1500 as a couple of other bachettas they had.

I think having a trike would be cool but they START at $1800!

Oy vey! These are not your four year old's trike that is for sure
