Which is worse: Secondhand pot smoke or secondhand cigarette smoke?
Which one will do more damage to your health if you are exposed to it on a semi-regular basis?

10. I'm not so bothered.
I actually prefer it to cigarette smoke, and this guy is pretty cool and I view pot smoking as relatively harmless. I've got Glade to spray around if it gets too intense.

What brought this up is that my roommate just said that pot smoke was worse than cigarette smoke and I was just wondering if this was true...

12. That's not true
Cigarette smoke is more toxic than car exhaust, diesel, or most industrial fumes. That's been tested over and over. And it's made worse because it is usually done in close proximity to a person, making the fumes more concentrated when breathed in.

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=12481
(10 times worse the car diesel exhaust)

http://www.lambtonhealth.on.ca/smoking/Appendix%206%20-%20Comparison.pdf
(ranks at or near the top for individual carcinogens when compared to other types of toxic pollution).

http://www.peopleandplanet.net/doc.php?id=2147
"The 4.9 million annual deaths from inhaling cigarette smoke exceed the 3 million deaths from all other air pollutants combined" WMA.

18. I have a real hard time believin' that.......
...because so many million more people drive and operate industrial machines..plus there are no studies that include indoor pollution effects from houshold chemicals in conjunction with all the other pollutants in our invironment as well....I don't doubt that cigarette smoke has toxins but I do wonder about the second hand smoke is as harmful...I was conceived by smokers...lived around them all my life and am one myself...I'll be 38 in a couple weeks and haven't had health insurance for 20 years....also have lived close enough to a paper mill most of life too.....eh well guess it's a crap shoot as to what you'll die from regardless of what you're exposed to?! Peace.

19. Some people have a hard time believing evolution or global warming
The evidence is there. Smokers are immune to the smell of smoke, but there's a reason so many places are banning smoking. It stinks worse than diesel exhaust, perfume clouds, body odor, or any other smell a person is likely to encounter on a daily basis. Smells worse than the skunks that hit joggers around where I live, too. It burns the lungs and nostrils, and it's proven to be more harmful than the toxins BushCo wants to allow industry to pump into the air.

13. Also consider the legal angle
You could pee test positive from second hand pot smoke weeks after inhaling it, which could screw up job possibilities and even your legal record. That's not healthy, either.

25. Possibly a stupid question
Do you think that THC can be sexually transmitted for the purpose of a drug pre employment screening.
Am I being stupid and overly paranoid?

I assume cigs are worse secondhand, since they're worse firsthand. I have no desire to smell either.

24. I feel about pot smoke the way non-smokers feel about
cigarette smoke -- I hate it, I don't want to be around it, and if pot is ever legalized here in Washington, I hope it has the same restrictions on it as cigarette smoking does. And some restrictions like alcohol does, i.e. no tokin' and drivin' or piloting a plane, or engineering a train, etc. I don't think that pot smoke is as toxic to a person as cigarette smoke is, but it is still obnoxious.

And I have nothing against people who smoke pot; just don't want to be around when they do.
