Does anyone else here make scrapbooks?
I'm working on scrapbooks this afternoon (it's a great day for it - overcast and chilly; I have hot coffee and a fire in the fireplace), and I wish I had a friend or two over to scrap with me.

3. I did only one. My very good friend had left the ER
where she had worked for 25 years. I took pics of docs, RNs, techs etc and had staff write goodbys by their photo.

she loved it! I couldn't have done such a good job without my wife's help.

5. Yes
Though when I started learning hand binding and repair, scrapbooking hadn't yet taken off. I'm so glad it has - any kind of bookmaking is best done with people around :-)

6. I don't but my wife does.
She spends a good amount of time on the Creative Keepsakes message board, and she likes to watch the scrapbook show that comes on the DIY network. We're also lucky because there are a couple of scrapbook stores near our house (not to mention a Michaels).

To be honest with you, I'm amazed at what a huge industry this is. I've seen a couple of the magazines and books that she's brought home, and some of the layouts are really impressive.

7. I like scrapbooking
but I am not into the typical cutesy layouts.

I am more a fan of the "fine arts" approach.

The pantry has been completely taken over by her scrapbook stuff. In fact, we were in Minneapolis this weekend visiting her family and we spent a considerable amount of time at Archivers in the Eden Prairie Center, The Scrap Nook (in Fargo on our way) and Michaels. It's a HUGE business. They have all day scrap-ins here too. She does really nice stuff with our baby boy. I don't like to do it, but I sure like the results she comes up with.
